On January 1, 2009, the Maryland Department of Human Resources awarded OIEP a new contract which will launch a pioneering pilot program in data cleanup. Over the course of the next several years, OIEP personnel will work on cleaning and correcting the State of Maryland’s Child Support data in regards to out of state cases. Specifically, the data cleanup team will pour over several thousand interstate case records and update each record flagged with new and updated information.

This pioneering project is a first in the State of Maryland and shows great promise and potential for expansion over the next several years.
